Comic Con and random stuff. Yay for meeting new people.

So life is going pretty good. I should have posted sooner but I'm lazy at real life posts and never feel like I have anything going on. Besides the baby.

So Comic Con was great. It would have been better if the baby hadn't been miserable and then gotten sick and spent the rest of the trip unable to keep anything down. Poor little guy. Next year he's staying with Grandpa.

I had fun though. The Watchmen footage was AWESOME and left me dying for more. I can't find out enough of the movie and am already ready to reread the novel again. On top of having kept flipping back and forth to find new little things to fangirl about.

The Heroes ep was pretty cool. There were three or so things that bugged the piss out of me when I saw them and are still bugging me. So once most of my flist has seen the new ep I'm probably going to post an entry just to rant. Lol

I loved the Supernatural panel. Getting to see the first five minutes has put my enthusiasm for the season premiere over the roof. I cannot WAIT to find out what happens. And the Q & A session was so much more amazing then the Heroes one. Plus Jared and Jensen really are as cute in person as they are in the show.

On top of it I got to meet Jen (widestance75) which was fantastic. It was nice to be able to fangirl about slash and the like without worrying I was going to freak her out. In fact, she let me talk her ear off, which was so sweet and I want to thank her so much. So thank you Jen!

I've gotten to meet a new friend through LJ. Elle (thestraychild) who is incredibly sweet and has been great fun to talk to. I'm loving our conversations, even if I do take forever sometimes to reply.

So yeah, I'm writing a lot of gen fics, which are mostly drabbles and ficlets because my porn takes forever to write and I really want to make a dent in my mission_insane masterlist. I'm at 15% because of the last few drabbles and so proud because of it. Lol But I promise I'm working on some porn too, although some of it's not for Heroes. Damn the other fandoms that have taken over my mind.

Also, I'm fairly concerned that the first thing I want for any new fandom is non-con. It's usually the first thing I want to write also. This does not say anything good about me.

Slugs are cool. Except those brown ones with the big black spots that look like eyes. They creep me out.

Ours have leopard print looking marks on them, it's so cute. Kieran hates them and can't stand me sitting there and looking at them.

Their little eyestalks are so cute too!

The bane of my existence, though, are caterpillars. They make my skin crawl. Especially the fat, wrinkly ones.

Yes, we have the world's most awesome slugs. And then we have cockroaches to balance them out. *shudder*

I really hate the fuzzy caterpillars. They freak me out.

Oh I don't know about that. I remain convinced that we have some of the worst cockroaches over here.

If you ever visit Johannesburg, you'll see what I mean. They have these things there called Park Town Prawns, which are about the size of a rat and not the least bit prawnlike. Seriously, those things are vicious.

It's most likely. I certainly don't think ours are the most disgusting, just the biggest I have seen in real life.

Yeah, apparently there was this whole big scandal a while back, where a cockroach made off with a baby's finger.

I think they managed to sort something out, eventually. However there was a huge big uproar about it and then it just sort of peetered out so I can't say for sure. I hope so, though.
