This episode broke my heart. Gah, last weeks' put me through the wringer, true, but this week's was almost too sad for me. It was on the same level as the deaths of Jo and Ellen, but this one was just a little bit worse because Gabriel's been with us for around the same amount of time, he's always been awesome, he was fighting for the side of people, and he masqueraded as Loki, one of my favorite gods of all time. God-killing has always disturbed me, it's the paganism that runs in my family, maybe. I'm just of the belief that gods really shouldn't be killed, and when they die I am always very sad. 'S why I've never played the God of War series.

But in this case, I adored Gabriel, I saw his death coming from the moment he showed up in this episode, and I spent the entire time muttering, "No, no, no, no," and my voice got progressively louder until the death happened and I was torn between shipping Lucifer and Gabriel with all of my being and screaming, "DON'T KILL MY LOKI!" *sighs*

I haven't seen... like... three of the episodes since I went into "avoid the world" mode. Came back just in time to see Adam get snagged by the angels and Gabriel get shanked by the devil. Oh. I didn't read your other reviews yet (mostly because dial-up has been acting up), but what did you think about Castiel beating the ever-livin' out of Dean? I found it... hot. Sad for enough reasons to make this comment especially long, but also hot.

I knew he was going to die because I happened across a spoiler at TvTropes. So when he died the first time I was like 'Yep, that's it' and then he came back AND DIED AGAIN. I swear they need to stop killing my favorite characters TWICE.

I mean really, they brought in Adam the first time and thrilled me to death before revealing he'd been dead the whole time. Then they bring him in again and I fall in love all over and then BAM. Dead again!

Not to mention they brought Anna back specifically so she could die. Thanks show, thank you so fucking much for that. (Now THERE was an ep where I spent the whole time muttering "No no no" at the television.)

I thought it was ridiculously fucking hot and possibly the most homoerotic thing on television. *fans self* The ep was already full of Dean/Cas gay and that kind of broke the meter right there.

Anyways, go wait 20 years for it to load and watch Jake Abel do his best imitation of Jensen. It's so worth it.

I have not read any spoilers for quite awhile. Hell, I didn't even see the episode when Anna died, I just know she did because the episode description said she was coming back to kill Sam. Thought, "That won't end well," and didn't see another episode until last week when Adam got trapped up with the crazy angels. Or something. Or whatever the hell happened to him. FIND HIM, DAMNIT, BOYS!

That episode was wonderful. Oh, and then there was a tiny bit of one I saw (I've seen bits and pieces of some other episodes, but nothing to really define what's been going on) when Sam called Castiel and got his voicemail. I laughed for ten minutes. "Why are you asking for my name? *dial sounds*" I think what appealed to me so much (other than the asskicking itself) was how pissed Castiel was. Here's this guy who he risked a whole bunch for to save, this guy who taught him how to be human, and he believes he's giving up. And he won't let him, even if it means beating him unconscious.

Ugh. Guess I'm gonna have to get started on that. They already look just enough alike as it is. Sort of. Or at least they have similar demeanors. This is why they need to find him, and he needs to be alive and stay that way.

Well I did not mean to read it and was very displeased. As you can imagine.

Yes, it did not end well and I was really pissed off. It was insult to injury, for real.

You should have seen me when Adam got stuck. In fact, you can see my reaction in the post I have up. It's all capslock and I was actually yelling at my computer screen.

Oh my god, Cas and that phone. It's my crack ship for real. So cute. Every interaction he has with it makes you aww yourself nearly to death.

Exactly right, Castiel is just on the end of his rope. He just discovered his father, who he had so much faith in, didn't give a rat's ass and if Dean gives up then he has no-one, literally.

I really think they picked a great actor for a Winchester. He looks a little like Sammy too, it's brilliant. And fucking right! Where can we start a petition? :D

Hate it when that happens. "Reading... reading... rea--NOOOOOO! DELETE! CANNOT BACKSPACE THE BRAINCELLS!" Well, you can, but only with chemicals or nasty blows to the head, and those methods are unpredictable. At best. Better to be angry about knowing what happens next week than forgetting your mother's name, right?

My sister left the room and watched from the next room over, for fear that I'd resort to bodily harm to vent my utter, all-consuming rage. And fear. Really, you can't keep bringing these people back and taking them away again. It's not good for Audrey.

Cas and his phone are love. Has anyone ever written a short, like, five things fic regarding phone conversations between Cas and Dean? Heh. One instance where Dean keeps calling Cas and leaving messages, or vice versa.

It'll be interesting to see how this season ends, and I'm holding my breath for Cas and Bobby, especially concerning how far Cas's character has come since he was first introduced. And yes, Adam's Petition must be put forward. Stat.

Yep, it's a huge CAN'T UNSEE moment. LOL I suppose some people would rather forget their mom's name. And you can't completely avoid spoilers if you're on the internet, it's just not possible.

It's not good for any of us. I'm going to stroke out at some point while watching the show and it's going to be entirely their fault!

I started a ficlet where Castiel goes to Wal-Mart to get the phone and winds up buying a whole bunch of useless shit. I have no idea how to end it though.
