Bennet wasn't sure how he'd managed to get picked as the leader but he was really regretting it right now. Peter and Sylar had walked into the base about a half an hour ago and instead of their usual arguing over the mission there had just been an awkward silence between the two men. Peter kept casting nervous glances at Sylar who was completely avoiding said glances. It was kind of amusing.

It took some prying to get the story out of them but eventually he did manage to. So much for it being funny. He left them in his office and grimly marched out to Matt and told him to broadcast a meeting to everyone. Before long everyone was assembled and he took a deep breath before speaking.

“Apparently our enemies have figured out how to turn asparagus into a sex pollen of sorts. From now until we figure out some kind of HASMAT suits no-one is going on any missions. And before you say anything Elle, that means going outside, even if there's an emergency. You are not getting your hands on any of the pollen. Please don't make me ground you.”

I actually debated on what vegetable they would use and asparagus got chosen because it was believed to be an aphrodisiac back in the day.

It's great how Peter keeps looking at Sylar, but Sylar tries so hard to ignore him! *sniggers*
