The song kept going around and around in Molly's head as she colored and it was driving Matt crazy. Not only was it the most annoying song in the world but the only part she was 'singing' was the chorus. Only the chorus, over and over and over again.
He clutched his hair and cast his brain at Mohinder trying to get some relief there but the man was typing away at his computer and his brain was abuzz in his native language interspersed with some science-y sounding words. No help there at all.
"Molly," he gritted out. "Is there any way you can stop that noise in your head?"
She had looked up startled and now looked a little sad.
"But it's my favorite song in High School Musical," she stuck her lower lip out. "I can't help that I like it."
Matt closed his eyes, it's not like he really had a chance of getting her to stop.
"Fine," he sighed. "It's not like you can help it. Can you at least sing the whole song?"
He groaned as she nodded, beaming at him. It was going to be a long night, he thought to himself as the song started again, this time from the beginning.

"Get'cha Head in the Game"
Coach said to fake right
And break left
Watch out for the pick
And keep an eye on defense
Gotta run the give and go
And take the ball to the hole
But don't be afraid
To shoot the outside "J"
Just keep ya head in the game
Just keep ya head in the game
And don't be afraid
To shoot the outside "J"
Just keep ya head in the game
U gotta
Get'cha get'cha head in the game
We gotta
Get our, get our, get our, get our head in the game
(repeat 3x)
Let's make sure
That we get the rebound
'Cause when we get it
Then the crowd will go wild
A second chance
Gotta grab it and go
Maybe this time
We'll hit the right notes
Wait a minute
It's not the time or place
Wait a minute
Get my head in the game
Wait a minute
Get my head in the game
Wait a minute
Wait a minute
I gotta
Get my, get my head in the game
You gotta
Get'cha, get'cha, get'cha, get'cha head in the game
(repeat 3x)
Why am I feeling so wrong
My head's in the game
But my heart's in the song
She makes this feel so right
(SPOKEN)
Should I got for it
Better shake this, yikes!
I gotta
Get my, get my head in the game
You gotta
Get'cha, get'cha, get'cha, get'cha head in the game
(repeat 4x)

Now I'll have to go and listen to that song again.

*giggles* I can't find it online and I'm refusing to buy the cd. Hubby makes fun of my love of the Disney Channel enough as it is.
Thanks for replying, I'm glad you liked it!

Well, I know the song's on youtube. If you want to go through the trouble, there's a way to rip videos off of youtube and then extract the audio to get an mp3 of the song. once you have the right programs, its an easy way to get music.

My baby brother loves the Disney Channel -- so do I too, for the most part, though we've got Nickeloden quite recently too so that should be a blast -- and much as I love him, he can't carry a tune. Go figure that said songs'd have to be so goddamn catchy too! You just can't help it.
My advice to Matt is this: get yourself a bottle of industrial strength aspirin and, if all else fails, pounce on Mohinder. I'm sure he'll be happy to help keep your mind off of things -- and if he isn't, there are ways around that too. *winks saucily*

And yeah, aspirin is necessary to get through some of the more annoying things on it. Esp. littlies singing the songs non-stop.

Yes, this is true. Some of them really are...awful.
