I'm at the end of my rope. I'm not shaving my pits any more. I stopped over the winter and it was fantastic. However the husband threw a fit about how he hates it and it disgusts him and you know what, I don't give a shit. I've been shaving for a month now and I have ingrown hairs and I bleed when I shave because it nicks them. It's so ugly and painful and I hate doing it. I haven't shaved my legs since November and it's been so freeing not to have to worry about it.

I have no idea what I'm going to do about the nerves I get at the thought of people seeing my pits. I'm not growing them out fully, I have man pits and I think it's cute at a certain length and am going to keep them trimmed at that length. The thought of people thinking I'm dirty because of a personal choice makes me sick to my stomach and so insanely frustrated. NOBODY THINKS GUYS ARE DIRTY AND THEY NEVER SHAVE THEIR PITS.

Anyways, yeah. The husband will still bitch but he's leaving for six months so that's a relief. (That's bad, I shouldn't say that.)

So that's today's two cents of a post.

See, I think that keeping them trimmed is an optional choice for both genders. But that goes for pubes, too. A little landscaping never hurt anyone, I'm just saying trim the bushes, not mow the lawn, you know?

Usually I don't give much of a fuck about my legs, because I wear pants year-round, but sometimes it's so luxurious to have them all smooth and stuff. Not all the time though, that's just a pain in the ass.

I don't have a significant other to put in an opinion about my body, though. xD

I like trimmed. For some bits it makes things better, if you know what I mean.

I love my leg hair long, it's blonde and very sparse thanks to my father's genes so I don't care about wearing shorts and skirts. The pits though, those are very mannish. I'm very self-conscious about them.

You're lucky. As I said, the husband hates the hair and it's very discouraging when he won't stand by me.

Well, I like my armpits hair free, but honestly sometimes I go months without shaving my legs. The hair on my legs has never grown fast and I wear pants all the time. Its just not something I think about or care to deal with on a daily basis. Plus there is no hubby in my life to freak out about my hair.

I usually wear pants. This is the first summer I've bought 'short' shorts and I think it's because of my leg hair. I hate my legs shaved, they look like plucked chickens. And my hair is really fine, baby soft almost. He can bitch about them all he wants, he's never had to shave his knees.

HAH. Tell your guy that you think HIS pits are gross... and oh, his legs, too. Hand him a razor, some Skinsoft shaving lotion and tell him to get right on it.

I shave, but let it go for a long time. I've got better things to do than to deny that I'm a mammal!!

Not to mention that he has chest hair, which puts him way ahead of me in the hair game.

I might actually start waxing my pits. I have no problem doing that and it would take longer to grow back.

My husband is a bit bear-ish, as well. And ouch to the pit-waxing, lol!

*giggles* Kieran is just getting started on the bear-ishness but it's definitely heading that way.

I actually don't mind the pain. I've done my legs before and if it didn't take so long it would have been great. I'm definitely not dedicated enough to hair removal to do it for two hours.

Man, I know exactly what you mean. I mean, yes women still get paid less and there are tons of double standards alive and well, how do we have double standards this blatant and obviously stupid in this day and age?

Exactly right, it's the most frustrating thing that men have no idea of. No man would even consider himself to be sexist for not liking hair on women and that's so completely wrong.
