Sail Through Crimson Skies

Title: Sail Through Crimson Skies
Pairing: None, gen fic
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Mild gore, 5YG canon character death
Disclaimer: I obviously don’t own Heroes.
Summary: Sylar drew his fingers through the dark red liquid
Notes: Beta'd by [livejournal.com profile] flying_monkees and [livejournal.com profile] thepansythug and written for the [livejournal.com profile] mission_insane prompt blood.

Sylar drew his fingers through the dark red liquid, enjoying the feeling, how it was thickening and congealing. Claire's sightless eyes were directed towards the ceiling and he grinned at them, sliding wet fingers over her face and through what was left of her dyed brown hair.

He had waited so long for this moment, to have this power and it was amazing, heady and exhilarating. He sliced a gash in his arm, watched it heal. Watched the fluid left over to drip down his arm and join all of hers that was spilled there. It was a nice metaphor, he mused to himself.

Standing up, he grinned smugly. Now it was time to find Petrelli and finish this once and for all.

My dislike of Claire aside -- I don't hate her, per se, I just sort of want to beat her over the head with a large fish -- this was really nice.

I love 5YG fic. I love Sylar. To me these things together are a win-win.

I imagine that the final confrontation will be really cool. It feeds my inner action junkie... and then my smut junkie has to sort of jump in and then it gets very, very interesting.

Anyways, I like this snapshot in time. It gives a wonderful insight into how Sylar's mind works. And I could definitely see something like this going down after he's killed Claire.

So, yes, this was lovely! And has definitely made my day that much brighter! So thank you!

I really loved her first season, she was an interesting character. Then last season came along and not give anything away because you haven't seen it but it didn't seem like the same character. So I don't really like her that much.

I'm glad it cheered you up, I was a little afraid that it wouldn't, being as there's death and whatnot.

I liked her mostly, though there were moments where I did get a bit exasperated. Though to be fair, given everything she goes through, she handled it all pretty well.

Oh pish-posh. Life's not all lollies and rainbows. Besides, I love me some Sylar, even if it does involve him playing around in blood.

Mmmm, so good and dark and twisted! This is how I love my Sylar. *grin*

You know I love the imagery in this hun, just wanted to repeat myself. *wink*

Great job!

I've said it before, but you're good at drabbles that tell a complete story. Also I love your Sylar's combination of savagery and elegance. Good work again.

I find drabbles very fun to write. Just a glimpse into a small part of a bigger story. So fun.

Thanks. *blushes*

I'm glad it came across like that, I was afraid it would be a bit odd. I'm not used to skirting around a word like I did.
